New to focusing?
Focusing is a set of skills and practices, a philosophy, and a world-wide network.
Focusing is the brainchild of the American philosopher Eugene Gendlin. He developed it as a way to help people tap into an inner source of wisdom and direction that we all can learn to access.
Here is a link to the British Focusing Association that provides a good overview of focusing: Intro to focusing
And here is a link to an introduction to the philosophy behind focusing
The main umbrella organization for Focusing is the Focusing Institute. They have a wealth of material, including videos for people new to focusing.
What we do
We teach focusing to people who are new to focusing. You can click Learn Focusing to learn how we teach focusing.
We also provide a space for people to practice focusing, Click Focusing Exchanges for how we do focusing exchanges.
And we guide people in focusing for people who just want help finding the next step forward.
Everything we do is free as we view this work as a ministry.
Link to Quakerism
Focusing teaches a way of knowing that is the basis for what Quakers mean by the "Inner Light" and that is the basis for Quaker worship and way of doing business. Here is a link to a paper that discusses the connections.
